Policy — draft

Cookies and local storage

This page answers one question precisely: does this site set anything on your device? The short answer is that the site itself does not, and that is why there is no cookie banner.

Draft — pending review

A reviewable draft describing the site as built. It is not a compliance claim, and cookie law differs by jurisdiction.

What this site sets

Nothing. The pages are static HTML and a single stylesheet. There is no server-side application, no session, no login and no personalisation. The site sets no cookies of its own and writes nothing to local storage or session storage.

What this site loads from elsewhere

No third-party scripts. The site loads no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising script, no social embed, no font service and no JavaScript library from a third party. Every file a page needs is served from this domain.

There is one deliberate exception to the general "nothing is sent anywhere" position, and it is worth stating plainly: the contact page form submits to Formspree when you choose to send a message. That is a user-initiated transfer of the message you typed, not tracking, and it happens only when you press send.

Why there is no consent banner

Consent banners exist to obtain agreement before non-essential cookies or trackers are set. This site sets none, so a banner would request permission for something that does not happen. A decorative banner that blocks nothing would also mislead visitors into believing their privacy was being protected by it.

If analytics or advertising is introduced later, this position changes and a functioning consent mechanism would be required before that change goes live — not merely a visual mockup. That requirement is recorded in the deployment documentation.

What the hosting provider may still process

The site is served by a hosting provider, Cloudflare Pages. Like any host, it processes technical request data to deliver pages and to defend against abuse, and it may set strictly necessary security cookies as part of that function. Those are controlled by the provider's configuration, not by this site's code.

Because that processing sits outside the site's own files, the exact position — which cookies and what retention — should be confirmed against Cloudflare's current documentation rather than inferred from this page.

Controlling cookies yourself

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Because this site depends on none of them, blocking everything will not affect the site's appearance or navigation.

Draft prepared
19 September 2026, describing the site as configured on that date.
Cookie audit
Not carried out. No instrumented audit of cookies or headers has been performed from a live deployment. The position above is derived from the site's own files: they set no cookies and load no third-party scripts.
Legal review
Outstanding.
