Advertising disclosure
This page states the current commercial position of the site precisely, including what the advertisement areas actually are and what has been authorised to sell them.
The current position
- No live advertising. The advertisement areas on this site are reserved placeholder blocks containing reference text. They display no creative and no advertisement is being served.
- No advertising script. No ad network, header-bidding or tag-manager script is loaded. Nothing on this site contacts an advertising system.
- No authorised sellers. The site's
ads.txtfile contains no seller lines, which means no advertising system has been authorised to sell inventory here. A buyer inspecting the file would correctly conclude there is nothing to buy. - No affiliate links. No link on this site earns a commission. There are no tracked outbound links, no referral parameters and no redirect paths. This includes the links to governing bodies and competitions, which exist so a reader can verify a figure at source.
- No sponsored content. No article, page or section is paid for, commissioned or supplied by a third party.
- No user-generated content. Nothing on this site is contributed by visitors, so no
ugcclassification applies to any link here. - No paid or gifted products. No product, service or access has been supplied in exchange for coverage, because the site does not publish reviews of products or services.
What the placeholder areas are for
Each advertisement area is a labelled, visually distinct block with reserved space, so that the page does not shift if advertising is introduced later. The reference text describing each slot is stored in the site's ads/ directory alongside the pages.
Editing a reference text file does not change a page that has already been generated: the placeholder wording is embedded in each page's HTML when the page is built. Replacing advertising content therefore means editing the page markup, and the workflow is documented separately for the site owner.
Advertisement areas are omitted entirely from this page, the contact page and the error page, so that policy and support pages carry no commercial placement.
If advertising is introduced later
Three things would have to happen before any advertising goes live, and this page would be updated first.
- Authorised sellers would be declared in
ads.txt, listing only systems genuinely authorised to sell this site's inventory. - Labelling would be applied. Paid placements would be marked as
sponsored, and any reader-contributed link, if such a feature were ever added, would be markedugc. Neither classification applies today, and neither is claimed today. - A functioning consent mechanism would be required before any non-essential tracking was introduced. A visual banner that blocks nothing would not satisfy that requirement, and none is presented here as though it did.
Editorial independence
No advertiser has any influence over what this site publishes. There is no arrangement under which a commercial partner can require, suppress or alter content. The editorial policy sets out how content decisions are made.
- Position recorded
- 19 September 2026.
- Live advertising
- None. Placeholders only. No creative, no script, no authorised seller.
- Sponsorship and affiliate revenue
- None. There is no sponsored content, no affiliate arrangement and no referral revenue of any kind.
- Consent integration
- Not applicable yet, and not implemented. No consent banner exists, because there is nothing non-essential to consent to. This must be revisited before any tracking is introduced.
