LEAGUE TOPIC · retained for continuity

Why this topic exists

Major League Baseball runs the longest season of any major North American league, with near-daily fixtures across a six-month calendar. That volume is the defining feature of its betting markets.

Volume changes the reader's problem

With so many games, the challenge is not finding a market but choosing one. Daily volume invites casual repetition, which is why a written stake cap matters more here than in a sport with a handful of weekly events.

Series structure and short samples

Teams meet in multi-game series, so the same matchup appears three or four times in a row. Each game is a separate market with its own starting pitcher, and a result in game one tells you very little about game two.
